I crochet handmade plushies and other Th!ngz. I like to mix weird colors and make pieces that not many other people are making. Customs and mashups of different designs are my favorite work.

Crochet takes hours, days, and sometimes months, so know that your Th!ng is made with love and attention to detail. No machine can replicate this art, which means every piece is truly one of a kind.

Meet the maker

Hey, I'm Renee aka MrzSavage, owner of Sa\/age Th!ngz

I am a 45 year old self taught crocheter of over 20 years. I am also a wife, a mother, and a Neigh-Neigh (grandmother). I teach dance fitness classes, do live performances, sing, and recently learned how to weld. You could say I was destined to be creative.

What you would probably never guess is that my passion for crochet grew out of chronic illness and pain, something I have lived with since I was very young. I wanted something I could do no matter my health, so I bought a book kit from Walmart, made the worst yarn choice a beginner could make, and started attempting pretty knots. This was pre-internet: no tutorials, just words on a page and a lot of trial and error. Over 20 years later, I am still here making pretty knots for people just like you.

Sa\/age Th!ngz started as a joke with friends and family who kept telling me to sell my work. I said I would call it Savage Things, but spelled \u201cSa\/age Th!ngz\u201d. Next thing I knew, a friend had made me a logo and everyone was promoting me. When I saw the joy my plushies brought to a family, a little girl, and a grown man, I knew I had to keep going.

Since then I have vended at events, been part of charitable auctions, had my work shown in art shows and galleries, and made customs for so many clients and supporters. Now I am opening my online store, doing my part to bring joy to the world one stitch at a time. Thank you for visiting my shop and supporting my small business.
